Comedy anime lighten our moods and lake us laugh. Though the global pandemic has not quite yet passed, the folks in the anime industry brought us an excellent Fall season for comedy anime! The rest of 2021 has been great as well, but let's take a few moments to go through the highlights of what the Fall anime season of 2021 brought us in comedy titles!
4. Gokushufudou Part 2 (The Way of the Househusband Part 2)
These episodes are only a few minutes long each, but if you are currently unfamiliar with The Way of the Househusband, do yourself a favor and put this in your Netflix watchlist. This title first showed up this past spring, but The Way of the Househusband had episode updates that are worth looking for! Ex-yakuza, Tatsu still protects his turf, but these days he considers that turf to be his family. Watch completely everyday activities happen with the MAXIMUM INTENSITY Tenshu's style.
Miko Yotsuya can see supernatural beings, but she tries hard not to. Though her middle school years of loving her horror genre have passed, Miko has been able to see frightening spirits in the afterlife since one unusual incident. Miko made a choice never to acknowledge the specters that walk amongst everyday people. While Miko has her goal, these monsters want to be seen, and they are willing to annoy Miko for that to happen. 2. Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi (My Sempai is Annoying)
Futaba Igarashi is a saleswoman at a trading company and has received a lot of guidance from her senior at work, Harumi Takeda. Though Takeda is reliable, his stature is larger than normal while Igarashi is smaller than average. Takeda often teases Igarashi or treats her like a child due to this difference, causing her to find him especially annoying. As the series develops, this slice of life comedy develops some romantic elements, as feelings between these two main characters deepen.
1. Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. (Komi Can't Communicate)
Komi is a quiet and mysterious girl whose pretty features and long dark hair cause her to be popular and admired by other people in school. What these admirers do not know about Komi is that she has crippling anxiety that keeps her from blending in and joining everyone else at school. Komi and another boy at school, Hitohito Tadano, learn to communicate through messages on a blackboard. Even though she has trouble meeting people, Tadano learns that Komi wants to make a hundred friends in high school. What follows is the comedy-packed adventure of these two trying to make this a reality
