On one of the countless parallel worlds that exists in space-time, humanity has been waging a decades-long war against aliens known as BETA (an acronym for “Beings of Extra Terrestrial origin which are Adversary of the human race”) using mecha called Tactical Surface Fighters.

Towa and Setsuna are both half-demons. Their father is the Great Demon Sesshoumaru and their mother is a human named Rin. Then, Sesshoumaru appears in front of Towa, who is filled with deep regret, and hands her Tenseiga, the Sword of Healing which can save the lives of a hundred beings in one swing, asking if she wants to test it out. However, it is broken.

One night, a black meteorite dubbed “The Iron Meteorite of the Black Night” fell to Earth and forever changed the world. The meteorite gives birth to D2, grotesque monsters that quickly start overrunning the world. They are drawn to melodies, their only weakness, and before long music itself is banned.
