Towa and Setsuna are both half-demons. Their father is the Great Demon Sesshoumaru and their mother is a human named Rin. Fourteen years ago, Zero sought to kill Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha right after they were born, but they were able to elude her. Towa was sent to the modern age, Setsuna went to live in a half-demon village, and Moroha was protected by the Wolf-Demon Tribe. Inuyasha and Kagome were dragged into the battle against Kirinmaru and were sent inside the Black Pearl where Toga’s (Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha’s father) tomb is hidden.
Towa and Moroha confront Kirinmaru and display incredible power despite not being full-blooded demons and Kirinmaru doesn’t hold back either. However, Setsuna is killed by Kirinmaru in the fight. Then, Sesshoumaru appears in front of Towa, who is filled with deep regret, and hands her Tenseiga, the Sword of Healing which can save the lives of a hundred beings in one swing, asking if she wants to test it out. However, it is broken.
What can be done with a broken Tenseiga? Can it bring Setsuna back to life? Towa contemplates the answers to these questions as the rain washes over her.

The debut work “Kanon” released in June 1999 shook the hearts of numerous game players. “Tori No Uta”, theme song of “AIR” released the next year, was praised as the “national anthem”. “CLANNAD”, referred to as “life” by its fans, was acclaimed upon release. Key’s story of girls bestowed with harsh fate, the iconic “tear-jerking games” and its characters have always grasped the users’ hearts.
